We are excited to announce that Magdalena Bisogni is returning to produce and supervise tvc's full time with us as of October 1st 2008. Fortunately her return to full time work coincides with our other big news...

Julian Dimsey has been appointed iloura's new International Film Representative and as such will be retiring from the tvc market at the end of October. The new role will see Julian utilising his producing and supervision duties as well as undertaking regular trips to LA and other destinations to support and develop the iloura film and tv division.

Congratulations CB!! Chris Betteridge and partner Faye recently became proud new parents of little Liam, below. Awwww!

The team have been super busy! Recently they finished a fully 3D spot for DraftFCB called Honda Jazz London which has been getting lots of attention on Campaign Brief and other ads blogs. They also worked with George Patterson Y & R on their new Cadbury Schweppes Spring Valley Sensibles Campaign. This campaign incorporated many of the services of Digital Pictures Melbourne, aside from iloura completing the animation and doing the online; digital pictures interactive programmed the website, Flagstaff finished the sound & FX, and digital pictures editor Jo Scott completed the offline edit. Currently the team are working on an international Dove Chocolate ad with Lynn - maree Millburn from Ghost and Nitro Agency and a new 3D spot for Campaign Palace and client Target.

Best Ads of the Week have selected Coke - Screaming Match from over 80 great pieces of work uploaded during the week. Congrats to all that worked on this great clip - featured in our last iNews!

Iloura are pleased to announce that they are part of the talented post production team selected to work on AUSTRALIA, the highly anticipated 20th Century Fox Film, directed by Baz Luhrmann and staring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman.

AUSTRALIA is an epic and romantic action adventure, set in this country on the explosive brink of World War II. In it, an English aristocrat (NICOLE KIDMAN) travels to the faraway continent where she meets a rough-hewn local (HUGH JACKMAN) and reluctantly agrees to join forces with him to save the land she inherited. Together, they embark upon a transforming journey across hundreds of miles of the world's most beautiful yet unforgiving terrain, only to face the bombing of the city of Darwin by the Japanese forces that attacked Pearl Harbour. With his new film, director Baz Luhrmann is painting on a vast canvas, creating a cinematic experience that brings together romance, drama, adventure and spectacle.

Ineke Majoor, Head of VFX iloura says, "We are all so proud to be working on this film project. From a post - production industry perspective this is the first time that several major Australian VFX houses have worked together to provide FX for such a high profile Australian film. It is such a showcase of Australian talent, from the director, to cast, to the VFX and animation artists and of course the locations and all the crew."

The film is slated for a November 2008 release: www.australiamovie.com

Recipe - Mag's Slow Cooked Pasta (tested by The Chimp).

Slow cooked pasta with cauliflower

Serves:  4 people

Ingredients:

1 or 2 cloves of Garlic
Olive oil
1 or 2 Chillies
1 or 2 chopped Anchovies (if you don't like anchovy the recipe is fine without)
1 Cauliflower
400 grams Pasta (preferably something small like penne, conchiglie, or farfalle anything that catches the florets of cauli)
Fresh Italian parsley roughly chopped
Parmesan cheese

Chop up the cauliflower into individual florets.
Heat up a generous amount of olive oil in a fry pan and add garlic, chilli and the anchovies and fry up until anchovies dissolve in the oil. Turn the heat to low and add the cauliflower allowing it to absorb the chilli, garlic and anchovy flavoured oil. Then turn the heat up slightly and add a small amount of water to the pan. Continue to add water as required and cook the cauliflower for 30 - 40 minutes until soft (you are almost braising the cauliflower). Once cauliflower is soft add enough water to the pan to cover the cauliflower add a little salt and turn heat to high. Once boiling add pasta in. The idea is that the pasta absorbs the flavoured water, much like a risotto. If it starts to dry out add in more water. Once pasta is cooked serve with chopped parsley and parmesan.

NB. If you still have excess water in the pan once the pasta is cooked simply pour out.
