The Pacific
Iloura has finished VFX and animation work on the HBO series The Pacific, from the creators of Band of Brothers with Executive Producers, Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks.
The team worked on eight of the 10 episodes, which tells the tale of three marines during America's battle with the Japanese, in the Pacific, during World War II.
The Pacific will air in March 2010.
Red Hill
Melbourne director and film-maker Patrick Hughes has completed a new feature film Red Hill. Iloura worked with Patrick on the VFX requirements on his debut feature, which will premiere at the 2010 Berlin International Film Festival.
The modern western follows a police officer's relocation to a small country town, when news of a prison break and an escaped murderer sends the town into panic.
The film stars, Ryan Kwanten (True Blood); Claire van der Boom (The Square, Rush); Tommy Lewis (The Proposition) and Steve Bisley (Jim Goose from Mad Max!). Director Greg McLean (Wolf Creek, Rogue) is Executive Producer.
Don't Be Afraid of the Dark
The iloura film team is hard at work on the Miramax feature film project Don't Be Afraid of the Dark.
Iloura are working exclusively on the animation requirements for the film, approximately 260 shots, most of which involve character animation and integration of the creatures with live action footage.
The film is based on a 1970s telefilm, was co-written by celebrated filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro (Hell Boy, Pan's Labyrinth, The Hobbit) and Matthew Robbins (Mimic). Del Toro is producing alongside Mark Johnson (Chronicles of Narnia, The Notebook, Rain Man, Bugsy). William Horberg (Milk, Adventureland) is Executive Producer.

Sanctum
James Cameron's Sanctum is one of Australia's first stereoscopic (3D) dramatic feature films, directed by Alister Grierson (Kokoda). The film tells the tale of a real-life adventure involving its Australian producer (Andrew Wight) who was diving beneath the Nullarbor when a storm collapsed the entrance to the cave, trapping him and his fellow divers. The film will use the same revolutionary and complex Cameron/Pace Fusion Camera system that James Cameron used to shoot Avatar. iloura has commenced R & D on the film's stereoscopic 3D animation and VFX requirements, and will deliver finished shots late 2010.
